After his
performance in the Juddmonte International Stakes (G1), ULYSSES (IRE) [127] joins GUN RUNNER (USA) [127] as
the co-third highest rated horse in the seventh edition of the LONGINES World’s Best Racehorse Rankings for 2017.

In the Juddmonte International, Ulysses
improved his rating to 127 from 121 after defeating CHURCHILL (IRE) [123] by two lengths. BARNEY ROY (GB) [122] was in third. Earlier this season, Ulysses
won the Coral-Eclipse (G1) before
finishing second to ENABLE (GB) [126]
in the King George VI & Queen
Elizabeth Stakes (G1).
Another big mover in the latest rankings is HARRY ANGEL (IRE) [125], who dominated the 32Red Sprint Cup Stakes (G1) and improved his rating to 125 from
120. He came into the race off of a victory in the Darley July Cup Stakes (G1) this summer.
There are also a number of newcomers to the latest rankings. CRACKSMAN (GB) [122] is ranked after putting
together a pair of impressive runs, first in the Betway Great Voltigeur Stakes (G2) and then in
the Qatar Prix Niel
(G2). Also in Europe, DSCHINGIS SECRET (GER) [120] took the Qatar Prix Foy (G2), which was his
third consecutive victory after also winning the pferdewetten.de-Grosser Hansa-Preis (G2)
and the 127th LONGINES
Grosser Preis von Berlin (G1) in his native
Germany. Meanwhile, MARSHA (IRE) [120]
finds herself ranked after defeating LADY
AURELIA (USA) [122] by a nose in the Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes (G1).
In the United States, COLLECTED
(USA) [122] has won all three of his starts this season, and he is ranked
after his half-length victory over ARROGATE
(USA) [134] in the $1 Million TVG
Pacific Classic Stakes (G1). Additionally, DREFONG (USA) [121] joins the rankings after his easy score in the Forego Stakes (G1), WEST COAST (USA) [121] won his fourth
consecutive race by taking the Travers
Stakes presented by NYRA Bets (G1), and OSCAR PERFORMANCE (USA) [121] claimed the Secretariat Stakes (G1) one month after winning the Belmont Derby Invitational Stakes (G1).
Furthermore, VEGA MAGIC
(AUS) [120] finds himself ranked after winning the New Zealand Bloodstock Memsie Stakes (G1)
in Australia.
