In defeating FARHH (GB) [124] and ST NICHOLAS ABBEY (IRE) [124] in very impressive fashion, Frankel registered his thirteenth win from as many starts, and reproduced the level of form he had shown when storming home by eleven lengths in the Queen Anne Stakes (G1) at Royal Ascot in June.

In between those two victories, Frankel had beaten Farhh by six lengths in the Qipco Sussex Stakes (G1) at Goodwood at the beginning of August, and Farhh reverted to 1600m in the Qatar Prix du Moulin de Longchamp (G1), in which he was narrowly defeated by MOONLIGHT CLOUD (GB) [121].

St Nicholas Abbey remained at 2000m for his next race, the Red Mills Irish Champion Stakes (G1) at Leopardstown, where he finished a gallant third to SNOW FAIRY (IRE) [124] and NATHANIEL (IRE) [126]. Snow Fairy was winning her seventh Group 1 race and, in the process, put up her best performance yet.

EXCELEBRATION (IRE) [125] has finished behind Frankel five times, including twice in the current season. However, with no Frankel in opposition, Excelebration recorded his second success at the highest level when defeating CITYSCAPE (GB) [124], ELUSIVE KATE (USA) [119] and the unlucky in running MOONLIGHT CLOUD (GB) [121] in the Prix du Haras de Fresnay-Le-Buffard Jacques Le Marois (G1) at Deauville.

In Canada, WISE DAN (USA) [124] won his fifth race in his last six starts when taking the Ricoh Woodbine Mile (G1) at Woodbine by three and a quarter lengths. Wise Dan has shown himself to be highly versatile, putting up top class performances this year when winning the Ben Ali Stakes (G3) at Keeneland (artificial surface) by ten and a half lengths, just being pipped by RON THE GREEK (USA) [120] in the Stephen Foster Handicap (G1) at Churchill Downs on dirt, and then capturing the Fourstardave Handicap (G2) on yielding turf at Saratoga, before his triumph at Woodbine on firm turf.

Another rising star of the North American turf scene is POINT OF ENTRY (USA) [123]. Already victorious in the Elkhorn Stakes (G2) at Keeneland and the Man O' War Stakes (G1) at Belmont Park, Point Of Entry produced his best display yet in taking the Sword Dancer Invitational Stakes (G1) at Saratoga by four lengths.

DULLAHAN (USA) [123] struck a blow for the North American three-year-olds when defeating nine older rivals in the TVG Pacific Classic Stakes (G1) at Del Mar.
