Australia decides on advertising rules for betting

At a meeting of the states' Racing Ministers, it was dicided to create a national standard for betting advertising. The standard, which would apply to both bookmakers and parimutuels, would have to be developed by a new Working Party.

There has been political agreement that the new standard would have to ban tha practice of operators to advertise for cash incentives to open up online betting accounts.
