US online wagering continues to grow

According to information published by the gaming authorities in the US state of Oregon, where some of the US largest online wagering operators are licensed, online wagering grew by almost 3% in the first quarter of 2008. This is in sharp contrast with the flat and in some instances declining betting through other distribution, like on-track.

Betting through Oregon licensed websites now represent roughly 10% of the total US wagering. Downs, Presque Isle Downs, River Downs, and Thistledown.
