Review Californian Gaming Law | |
The California Horse Racing Board (CHRB) has started a review on the state's current account wagering law, which is set to end in 2008. The 2001 law allowing account wagering - playing by phone or computer from an advanced deposit - has been a great success, with horse race betting volumes growing with double digit figures each year. The CHRB will particulalrly look at whether all parts of the racing industry (owners, tracks, betting companies) have benefitted equally. The review will also compare the benefits of exclusive track-betting operator constructions and more competitive situations.
