Mobile gaming allowed in Nevada casinos | |
A new law allows for the use of mobile gambling devices in public places in Nevada casinos. The new rules will also allow betting on horseracing on these devices. The law does not allow the gaming on any mobile phone, but on dedicated mobile devices, operating on closed Wi-Fi systems within the casino. It will be important for racing authorities to follow this development, as technology companies will now start developing product and standards that could also be useful for use at race tracks in jurisdictions that would allow this new form of betting. According to a report in iGaming News, one company, Progressive Gaming International Corporation , is already developing a wireless version of its Rapid Bet Live product, which is a real time wagering system that allows players to place bets during a live event. |
